Canyonlands National Park is located in southeast Utah with picturesque red rock and plenty of unique scenery including canyons, buttes, rivers, and mesas. At 337,597 acres, Canyonlands is divided into four main areas: the Island in the Sky, the Needles, the Maze, and the Green and Colorado Rivers. The closest city to Canyonlands is Moab (link back to our page on Moab Elopements) which provides a great base camp for guests and the wedding party.
Canyonlands is Utah’s least visited national park with fewer than one million visitors a year. But don’t let that dissuade you from eloping in one of the most romantic elopement destinations in the world. A canyon wedding would be the perfect fit for this incredible national treasure. Canyonlands has six magical wedding ceremony locations within the park.
Grand View Point
Green River Overlook
Mesa Arch
Shafer Canyon Overlook
Pothole Point
Needles Group Campsites
Make sure you follow all rules and guidelines set by the National Parks Service. There are regulations for how long you can be under an arch, for example, or how many people can be in your party. The fee for any wedding or elopement ceremony at Canyonlands National Park is $185, not including the park entrance fee.
