Logan Canyon is a very picturesque elopement destination. It is situated in Northern Utah as part of the Wasatch-Cache National Forest. It offers spectacular scenery of limestone walls, the Logan River, lush forests, caves, and rocks laden with fossils. Due to the drastic seasonal temperature fluctuations, the landscape experiences visible changes that make it a great year-round elopement destination. During the summer flowers are in bloom and the forest is a lush green. From September through October the leaves begin to change to crimson, yellow, and orange hues, while some stay visibly green. There are numerous recreational activities to take part in including:
● Visiting Tony Grove Lake is a great option for novice hikers. A 1.3-mile loop will lead to a rainbow trout-filled lake surrounded by limestone cliffs and aspens.
● Visiting White Pine Lake, the sister lake of Tony Grove, will result in an area laden with wildflowers in bloom. This 3.8 miles one-way hike is moderately difficult, and ends with a lake surrounded by the jagged peaks of Mount Gog and Mount Magog.
● Visiting Beaver Mountain, a small ski resort, is an affordable option for the avid skier. Most of the ski runs are East-facing resulting in perfectly groomed powder. From easy to expert, the resort can accommodate all levels of skiers.
● Visiting Bear Lake State Park just outside Logan Canyon. This location features year-round access to a brilliantly blue lake that is 18 miles long. Couples who enjoy recreational water activities such as boating, jet skiing, water skiing, wakeboarding, paddleboarding, kayaking, fishing, ice fishing, swimming, water tubing, or water trampolines will find Bear Lake as the ultimate watersports destination.
● Other activities include horseback riding, hiking, biking, hunting, camping, exploring caves, rock climbing, ATV riding, fly fishing, downhill skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing.
Although there is only one wedding venue situated directly in the canyon, Beaver Mountain Lodge, elopement venues can be found on both the Garden City entrance and Logan City entrance of Logan Canyon. Within 7 miles of the Logan City entrance are multiple elopement options including The Riter Mansion, The Riverwoods Conference Center, Castle Manor, and The Vineyards at Mt. Naomi Farms. Within 7 miles of Garden City are venues including Conestoga Ranch, Sunrise Resort & Event Center at Harbor Village, and Legacy Beach.
